Wood Ducks
A wood duck nest box stands by a sediment pond in the woods. The wildlife team monitors the box with binoculars. In the spring of 2010, a wood duck successfully nested in the box, and seven ducklings hatched. Because of this success, the team plans to place another box at a different pond. Other future plans include constructing a nature trail and developing a non-native invasive species management plan.
